China gold investment may surge up to 50%

Oil freight rates jump sharply

US jobs stay scarce despite stronger growth

Choose your points and illustrations carefully. Too much information may overwhelm the audience.

Remember, you are speaking, not reading. Note: A key word for each part.

Your own evaluation: Write down the things you did well and the things you want to improve to make your next speech even better. This gives you a permanent record of your progress.

Organize your speech: Easier to understand; Easier to remember; More credible and More enjoyable

Good speech organization is essential if your audience is to follow and understand your presentation. You can organize your speech in several different ways; choose the outline that best suits your topic. The opening should catch the audience’s attention, the body must support the idea you want to convey, and the conclusion should reinforce your ideas and be memorable. Transitions between thoughts should be smooth.

Following is an outline for a speech containing three main points:

A conversation is a dialogue, not a monologue.

B: A positive leadership

A positive leadership style inspires, motivates, energizes, unites, and generates loyalty and produce results. Some laws to follow in order to be a more positive leader in everywhere.

Give more than you expect others to give.

Combine optimism and perseverance, and then lead by example. Others who observe your conduct will not only feel inspired but will act the same.

See everyone as a diamond in the rough. There are no poor performers, only poor leaders who fail to find ways of helping others succeed.

Express appreciation; accept responsibility. “I praise loudly; I blame softly.”

Show respect for people around you. Your words and actions will show how much you value other people’s contributions.

Treat everyone as family.

Be a source of inspiration. When appropriate, share your wisdom. Offer people insights you have gleaned along the way.

Stress cooperation not competition.

Maintain a sense of humor. Everyone enjoys being around someone who is humor, hearty, non-rigid and able to laugh or enjoy all aspect of life.

Thus, follow the rules and others will follow you as you are their LEADER. Moreover, they will give you their loyalty, trust and admiration.
